Equestrian - We have just upgraded our 70m x 30m arena with extra arena sand and topped with chipped rubber for a much better riding surface and much less dust! Come and ride and let us know what you think of the changes!

THE EQUESTRIAN PARK
(Visitor facilities)

The MCP facilities are open to visiting horses and riders.  A small booking fee is charged via honesty box located beside the main Arena entrance.  Facilities include a 70 x 30 mtr sand arena, 440 mtr training track, general riding area, riding trails including water fords and a 15mtr indoor circular arena.  Moveable Jumps are available for use in the main arena plus we now have a beautiful show jumping course in place on the grass area inside the training track enclosure. Entrance is via the main carpark or via The equestrian centre entrance at gate 2 on Omaha Flats Road if you'd like to park in the enclosed area beside the arena.

Due to the popularity of our venue it is advised to book exclusive time in the arena if you're planning on riding there. Phone the office 09 4227437 and we'll be happy to book that for you. If you'd like to enter via the Equestrian gate please advise us at that time so we can ensure that is unlocked for you.

2008 Fees - $10 per horse/rider per hour for use of Arena. This also covers use of trails and track when available.
$15 per hour per horse for use of Round Yard. Bookings essential.

EQUESTRIAN EVENTS VENUE

The MCP Equestrian Centre is an ideal venue for equestrian events including dressage, show jumping competitions, breed shows, instructional clinics and seminars, fundraising events, livestock sales, and marketing events. 

The facility is located only 1 hour from central Auckland and can cater for up to 180 floats and trucks.   The restaurant is located next to the main arena which offers a unique opportunity to profile events to the public and the Country Park's visitor traffic can offer significant exposure to potential sponsors.

In addition the MCP offers a function centre, indoor arena with seating for seminars, and a 90 x 80m showground area.  There are ideal areas for Corporate tents and the stunning building complex makes a breathtaking backdrop for equestrian activities.
