St Andrews Presbyterian Church

 

 

Matakana Country Park is delighted to become the new home for this historic St Andrews Presbyterian Church, built in matakana in 1895 and named in honour of the Patron Saint of Mariners.

The Building is owned by the Presbyterian Church, but is on longterm lease to the Country Park. A joint Church-Country Park committee manage the building's use.

The St. Andrews Church is constructed mainly of Kauri and has its original kauri pews and a modified kauri pulpit. It can seat up to 120 people.

 

The Church is available for interdenominational events and community gatherings. It can also be used in conjunction with a marquee and the adjacent resturant. There is plenty of parking and other facilities at the park are available for use by negotiation.
