Matakana Country Park
Located just one hour north of Auckland, just over the hill from Matakana Village within the Rodney district which is one of the fastest growing tourism areas in New Zealand. Surrounded by lush valleys, gorgeous wineries and fabulous beaches, we have something for all the family to enjoy!
From Pony Rides, Animal Experience, Miniature Ride-on Train and Adventure playground for children, to the Craft Co-op, Saturday Country Market, the Stables Restaurant, Speckled Hen Cafe and ArtMatakana for adults and families.
The Circuit Room is also located at the park, situated at the end of The Woolshed Gallery Building and featuring many Les Mills programme classes and The Remedy Room for massage and accupuncture which you may need after a visiting the Military Arts Club.
There are also many local attractions in the surrounding area including the beautiful white sand beaches and islands of
the nearby Pacific Ocean as well as numerous wineries and vineyards.

About
Matakana Country Park is the realisation of one man's lifelong dream. Creator, John Baker as a child was sent to boarding school where he befriended a Clydesdale horse. The horses name was 'Lofty'. Lofty was his best friend, whom he used to share confidences with. John decided then as a child he would share his experiences with other children and his dream is now a living legend - The Matakana Country Park
The Matakana Country Park has now become the main attaction and location within this region for staging any event from a small Boutique Wedding, medium sized corporate functions to large music and entertainment events of up to 12,000 people, come and see for your self, just call John to arrange your personal invitation to preview all that The Matakana Country Park has to offer.
